Expand your Hobby Zone Plane with X-Port Technology

One of my favorite things about Hobby Zone Airplanes is that you can add what is known as an X-Port module to any plane that is compatible. This allows you to fly at night, drop bombs and a parachute from the plane, or even engage in electronic air to air combat.

Hobby Zone Night Flight Module

Pictured above is the Hobby Zone Night Flight Module. It has a series of LED lights that allow you to fly at night! Just remember that although you can see your airplane very well, it does not light up objects that you might run into. Also, you may end up with some UFO reports in the area you are flying.

Hobby Zone Combat Module Firebird Commander 2 with Combat Module

Hobby Zone X-Port Combat Module

Pictured above is the Hobby Zone X-Port Combat Module. This module lets you engage in exciting air to air combat with any other x-port equipped Hobby Zone plane.

It has a range of about 50 feet and it disables your opponent's motor for 10 seconds. The idea is to fly behind your enemy and keep "shooting" them until it forces them to land. The best thing is making your "enemy" walk way out in a field to go recover the airplane after you force them down.

How does it work?

The Hobby Zone Combat module sends a high pitch sound pulse that is picked up by a sensor on the back of module of your enemy plane. This pulse registers on the rear of the combat module if you are within about 50 feet and somewhat at the same altitude as your enemy's airplane. The combat module is activated by a button on the radio transmitter of your x-port equipped Hobby Zone Plane.

Hobby Zone Drop Module Firebird Commander 2 with X-Port Drop Module Hobby Zone X-Port Drop Module

Pictured above is the Hobby Zone Drop Module. It allows you to drop a parachute or streamer bombs from your X-port equipped plane. You can make bombing runs and practice dropping the two streamer bombs on a target, or drop a skydiving space man.

A word about X-port modules.....

I recommend you get a little flying experience first before trying one of these. It's pretty easy to crash when you are distracted from flying, and these modules do just that.

The X-Port module will work with The following Hobby Zone Airplanes.
